Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Do I need to send the original receipt or a photocopy?
A. You will need to review the terms and conditions on each rebate form to determine whether you need to send the original receipt. On most offers, Pep Boys asks only for a photocopy. If you send your original, always make a copy for yourself. You may also request a rebate receipt from the cashier.

Q. If I submit multiple rebates on one offer form, how many checks will I receive?
A. Pep Boys consolidates all of your rebates into one check. For rebates up to $30, you will receive a postcard check like this:

For rebates greater than $30, you will receive a concealed z-fold check like this:

Q. Can I submit for a Rebate and Pep Boys Shopping Card on the same offer?
A. Yes. To receive your rebate and/or shopping card, follow the instructions on the rebate form, making certain that you identify the QUANTITY PURCHASED and REBATE/CARD TOTAL for all eligible items selected. Your check and shopping card will arrive separately in the mail. To check status of your submission, go to www.web-rebates.com/pepboys.

Q. My rebate is now expired. If I send it in late, will I still receive the rebate?
A. Rebates have specific terms that define the times during which they are valid. Unfortunately, if the postmark date has passed for your rebate, you will not be eligible for that rebate. Watch for future Pep Boys offers, check the dates and submit for your rebate promptly.

Q. What does it mean when the rebate form says "up to" a certain dollar amount?
A. Rebate amounts of "up to" a certain dollar amount usually indicate that you will receive the dollar value originally paid for the product or service described in the rebate offer. For example, if you paid $7.49 for a product on rebate "up to 7.99", you will receive a rebate check for $7.49.

Q. How do I get a rebate form?
A. Pep Boys rebate forms are distributed by the cashier and can be found at the check-out counter at the front of the store, and at the Service counter. You can also print a rebate form online at www.web-rebates.com/pepboys

Q. Do I have to provide my e-mail address?
A. No. An e-mail address is not required but it does allow us to provide you with status updates regarding your submissions. Pep Boys keeps e-mail addresses confidential and never shares any part of your contact information with third parties.

Q. How do I check the status of my submission?
A. You can check the status of your rebate online at www.web-rebates.com/pepboys, or by calling 1-888-829-1420, Monday - Friday, 8am - 11pm CST

Q. I looked up my status online and it says my submission is "invalid." What does this mean?
A. If your rebate is invalid it can be due to missing information such as a receipt not being sent with rebate form, or an incorrect rebate form was submitted, or if the receipt submitted does not reflect the rebate offer timeframe on the form submitted. You will then receive a non-compliance notification in the mail that will explain and provide instructions on how the situation can be corrected.
